Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

NTCAT can now review specific decisions made under the Plumbers and Drainers Licensing Act.
Plumbers and drainers can apply to NTCAT for a review of these decisions.
Licences for tobacco, private security, and commercial agents stay in force while a renewal application is being processed; this applies if the application is made before the current licence expires.
Licence renewal applications for these sectors must be made within 3 months before the expiry date.
The definition of 'service' under the Essential Goods and Services Act now includes ridesharing, limousine, and courtesy vehicle services.
Documents for associations can now be served via email; they can also be delivered by hand or post.
