Effects of this bill
If this bill passes, it means that:
Regulations cannot lower the high income threshold for road transport contractors below the general contractor high income threshold.
The Fair Work Commission cannot grant a supported bargaining authorisation if the employer is already named in a specific application.
The law now covers people who were allegedly dismissed; not just those who were actually dismissed.
The Fair Work Commission can now make orders regarding further applications after an initial application is dismissed.
