Effects of this bill
If this bill passes, it means that:
HELP debts incurred before 1 January 2025 are reduced
SSL and ABSTUDY SSL debts incurred before 1 January 2025 are reduced
VETSL debts incurred between 1 January and 1 June 2025 are reduced
The Secretary must re-credit a person's HELP balance for FEE-HELP debts incurred on or before 1 June 2025
The method for calculating accumulated AASL debt changes for the financial year starting 1 July 2024
The Minister can make rules to modify how the Act operates
