Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

Victims of child sexual abuse can access the superannuation of the perpetrator.
Perpetrators must tell the Court about bankruptcy or restraining orders affecting their superannuation.
The Court cannot order the release of funds if there are active bankruptcy restraining orders.
Victims must give the Commissioner a copy of the court order and their bank details to get paid.
The Commissioner must disclose the perpetrator's superannuation information to the relevant party.
Superannuation providers must notify the Commissioner about relevant fund details; failure to do so can lead to penalties.
