Effects of this bill
If this bill passes, it means that:
The deadline for making decisions to provide financial assistance extends to 30 June 2036
The Board must tell responsible Ministers in writing if the Facility fails to follow the Investment Mandate
Responsible Ministers can order the Board to explain failures or take specific action to ensure compliance
The Board must follow any directions given by responsible Ministers
Failure to follow the Investment Mandate or a ministerial direction does not invalidate any transactions
Powers previously held by a single Minister move to the responsible Ministers
The Minister must start reviews of the Act after 30 June 2029; another review must start after 30 June 2034
