If this bill passes, it means that:
The Secretary cannot publish personal information about individuals; this does not apply to medical practitioners.
The Secretary can publish data on medicare benefits paid for professional services provided by medical practitioners.
The Secretary of the Department can set terms and conditions for how information is used after an authorised disclosure.
Private health insurers must give the Minister requested information within a set timeframe.
The Minister cannot delegate certain functions or powers to other people.
The Minister can decide how transparency information is published.
