Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

Goods are UAE originating if produced entirely in the UAE or Australia.
Goods from hunting, fishing, or aquaculture are UAE originating if the activity happens within the UAE's territorial sea.
Preserving operations alone do not make a product UAE originating.
Packaging and containers are ignored when determining the origin of goods.
Exporters may have to keep records to get preferential tariffs in the UAE.
Regulations can use the Harmonized System to set tariff classifications.
