Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

Establishes the Commonwealth Parole Board; it consists of a Chair, a Deputy Chair and at least three sessional members.
The Chair or Deputy Chair can revoke a parole order or licence.
Authorised officers can request or require information.
Authorised officers can share Parole Board information with relevant people if certain conditions are met.
The Department Secretary can join Board meetings or help make decisions.
The Chair and Deputy Chair cannot take paid work outside their duties without the Minister's approval.
Sessional members of the Board cannot engage in outside paid work.
