If this bill passes, it means that:

Applicants must pay a charge for nationally coordinated criminal history check services provided by the Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission.
The Minister sets the charge amount via legislative instrument.
The Minister can set different prices based on the type of service; they can also set different prices for different classes of people.
The Minister can set the charge at zero.
The Minister must consider recommendations from the National Policing Information Committee when setting these charges.
State-owned property is exempt from this tax.
