Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

People can collect, use or disclose protected information for specific transition purposes.
Entities can still claim home care, residential care or flexible care subsidies for periods before the transition.
Registered providers must notify the government about their service delivery branches at the transition time.
People responsible for unspent home care funds must pay the Commonwealth's portion back to the government.
People on leave from a residential care service are treated as being on leave from an approved home under the new Act.
The definition of an accommodation bond is now whatever the rules prescribe.
