Effects of this bill
If this bill passes, it means that:
Adults can possess, prepare and use up to 50 grams of cannabis; this must happen outside of public places.
Adults can grow up to 6 cannabis plants at their main home; this includes using hydroponics.
Adults can give cannabis plants to other adults as gifts; they cannot take payment or trade for them.
People are not committing a crime if they have more than 50 grams of cannabis at home; they must prove it came from plants they grew legally.
Courts no longer have to declare someone a drug trafficker if doing so would be clearly unjust.
