Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

The Authority must give the Coordinator any information they request to help them do their job.
The Authority and people providing information face no civil or criminal liability for these disclosures; it is not a breach of confidentiality or professional ethics.
People must pay a capital charge to network service providers for access to relevant networks.
Regulations must include a mechanism to stop network service providers from earning extra revenue due to these capital charges.
The Minister must recommend any regulations made under this scheme; they must be satisfied the rules align with state electricity objectives.
The Coordinator must review and report on the scheme every five years.
