Effects of this bill

If this bill passes, it means that:

Fines go up to $5,000 for most number plate offences.
New $5,000 fines apply to specific breaches of sections 29A(5) and 34(1).
Rules regarding number plates now explicitly include labels.
Regulatory authorities cannot set a modified penalty higher than 10% of the original fine.
