Clauses 29 and 30 of this bill mean that registration as a Food Premises cannot be transferred from the previous to new owner of a cafe or restaurant; instead, the existing registration is cancelled as soon as Council becomes aware that the previous operator is no longer running the business, and the new owner must apply for a new registration.
This bill being passed means that... Technical change: oversight has moved from the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources (DEDJTR) to the Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions (DJPR). This does not actually change anything, it is just fixing the wording in the Act
This bill being passed means that... Clauses 3 and 4 mean that the State government can charge local councils for use of a website to handle registration of food premises, depending on how much the councils use it and how much it costs to run
